Elisha Cuthbert may star on the relatively new show “Happy Endings,” but she’ll always be known (well, at least for the next few years) as Kim Bauer, the daughter of Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer on “24.”

It’s only been 16 months since “24” ended for good, and despite the cast and crew signing onto different projects (Sutherland, for example, will star in the upcoming new FOX series “Touch” with Danny Glover), fans of the show are dying to know one thing: Will we ever get to see a “24” movie?

While on “The View,” Elisha answered that very question.

“I hope so,” said Cuthbert. “I know Kiefer is also doing a new show, so it’s kind of a new chapter in his life. So I know he’s busy with that. But if there is one, hopefully I’ll be a part of it. That would be really lovely.”

Looks like that’s the best answer we’re going to get for awhile, because not even the principal cast members of the show know any details about a future movie.

Check out Elisha’s Interview below:

Elisha Cuthbert admits she was anxious about making the move into comedy acting for her role in the new Abc series ‘Happy Endings’, reports the Kansas City Star. Elisha Cuthbert, best known for playing ‘Kim Bauer’ on the gritty U.S. drama ’24′, stars alongside Eliza Coupe and Adam Pally in the new show that premieres tonight (13th April 2011).

‘Happy Endings’ is a modern romantic comedy following a group of six close friends. Cuthbert’s characters calls off her wedding at the last minute, “totally disrupting the group dynamic”. The 28-year-old, who has mainly worked on television dramas in recent years, says she was little nervous before starting work on the comedy, saying, “I had some anxiety because most of my work on television had been with 24, and I was used to that element. Once I got on the set, I felt like this was a good place for me. I felt comfortable”. Cuthbert describes her role as an “honest take on a girl in her late 20′s, early 30′s going through life at that time”.

Despite her new role, Elisha Cuthbert admits that she is “looking forward” to appearing in more feature films in the future. She had parts in ‘Love Actually’ and ‘The Girl Next Door’ as well as independent movies such as ‘Captivity’ and ‘He Was a Quiet Man’. ‘Happy Endings’ premieres on Abc at 9.30pm Edt tonight.

The morbid thought that some of their daughters’ friends and classmates might end up victims to increasing gun violence led husband-and-wife filmmakers David Sudz Sutherland and Jennifer Holness to create the dramatic new CBC-TV miniseries Guns.

TV and film director Sutherland (Love, Sex and Eating the Bones, Toronto Stories) says that gun violence has escalated to become a problem for Canadians everywhere, not simply relegated to “bad” areas.

At a recent event with the Toronto couple’s five-year-old daughter, Sutherland recalled thinking “Which one of these five-year-olds will end up lying in an alley alone?” he told CBC Radio’s Metro Morning on Thursday.

The miniseries, which features such Canadian stars as Colm Feore, Shawn Doyle and Elisha Cuthbert, attempts to explore the issue of illegal gun trafficking and the greater impact it has on entire communities and cities.

“It looks at the problem from different levels,” Holness said, “the people who are actually bringing in the guns as well as the people who are impacted — just everyday people and people on the street.”

Guns begins on CBC Television Sunday at 8 p.m., with the second part to follow Monday at 8 p.m.
