Elisha Cuthbert may star on the relatively new show “Happy Endings,” but she’ll always be known (well, at least for the next few years) as Kim Bauer, the daughter of Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer on “24.”

It’s only been 16 months since “24” ended for good, and despite the cast and crew signing onto different projects (Sutherland, for example, will star in the upcoming new FOX series “Touch” with Danny Glover), fans of the show are dying to know one thing: Will we ever get to see a “24” movie?

While on “The View,” Elisha answered that very question.

“I hope so,” said Cuthbert. “I know Kiefer is also doing a new show, so it’s kind of a new chapter in his life. So I know he’s busy with that. But if there is one, hopefully I’ll be a part of it. That would be really lovely.”

Looks like that’s the best answer we’re going to get for awhile, because not even the principal cast members of the show know any details about a future movie.

Check out Elisha’s Interview below:

The “Wonders Years” star is set to helm a second episode on the ABC series and throws in a cameo appearance.

Winnie Cooper, eat your heart out. Happy Endings is fully crushing on The Wonder Years star Fred Savage on Season 2.

A spokesperson from Sony Pictures Television, the studio behind the ABC show, confirms that Savage will not only return to direct his second episode of the series, but he’s also appearing in a cameo as himself, as first reported by EW.

The scene is pretty hush hush according to our contact, but involves a bit in which Savage and Alex (Elisha Cuthbert) narrate The Princess Bride and involves a bad date. That’s all we’ve got, but we’re told it’s going to be hilarious.

While most fans fell for Savage as the awkward Kevin Arnold on The Wonder Years, which aired on ABC from 1988 to 1993, the actor has been directing for several years now. His directing credits include another episode of Happy Endings, Modern Family, Party Down, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He currently voices Noah on the animated series, Generator Rex, on Cartoon Network.

Season 2 of Happy Endings premieres Sept. 28.

Elisha Cuthbert has said she’d love to reprise her role as Jack Bauer’s daughter in the 24 movie.

Kiefer Sutherland, who plays Jack, has already signed up to the big screen version of the high stakes drama, which is due to start filming next year.

Elisha played Jack’s daughter Kim throughout the ten series of the TV show, but on the prospect of appearing on the show the 28-year-old said: “No one has called me, maybe I won’t be a part of it. I have no clue.”

She went on: “But if they did need me and it worked for the film, for me to be in it, I would do it in a heartbeat.”

The actress is currently on screen playing Alex in new series Happy Endings, about a couple battling to keep their mutual friends after they break up.

Elisha said: “I’m having so much fun – drama can be very difficult. Crying all day is not easy, laughing is a lot more fun.”

The cast of new comedy Happy Endings have confessed they’ve learned to deal with comparisons to hit show Friends.

Like Friends, Happy Endings follows a group of twenty-somethings, and opens with a bride backing out of her wedding at the last minute.

But 24′s Elisha Cuthbert, who plays Alex in the series, insisted there was an up-side to critics pointing out similarities.

“It can be a good thing,” she said. “In the early stages a lot of people will go, ‘oh it’s another show trying to be Friends’, and there’s other people who will go, ‘oh my God, this is great, this is my new Friends’.”

Her co-star Adam Pally, who plays Max, said he was “honoured” by the comparison.

“It’s an honour any time you can be likened to a show like that, that ran for so long and was really terrific,” he laughed.

“I mean those actors are amazing, that writing was great. So any time we get that comparison I just feel totally honoured.”

Elisha Cuthbert has revealed she opted to try her hand at comedy in a bid to “rediscover herself”.

The 29-year-old stars in ensemble sitcom Happy Endings, the story of six friends living in Chicago, whose world is rocked when Elisha’s character leaves her fiance at the altar.

The 24 actress said: “It’s like a learning process every day, I feel like this is why I wanted to do the show, this is why I wanted to do a comedy, to rediscover myself and do something fresh and new.”

She added: “I had so much fun doing 24, I thought if I’m going to go back to TV I need something of a change and a little bit of a challenge and this seemed right.”
