The ice hockey star ex of and actress ELISHA CUTHBERT has been cut from America’s National Hockey League for speaking ill of his former flame.
League officials were appalled when Dallas Stars player Sean Avery made a derogatory sexual reference to his ex-girlfriend before a Tuesday night (02Dec08) game in Calgary, Canada, where Cuthbert’s new man Dion Phaneuf now plays his ice hockey.
In an attempt to verbally attack Phaneuf during a pre-game interview, tough guy Avery said, “I just want to comment on how it’s become, like, a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds. I don’t know what that’s about.” As a result, Avery has been suspended from the NHL indefinitely.
